The long-awaited release was first teased on Instagram with two screenshots featuring the backs of the Canadian National ES44AC and Canadian Pacific Kansas City ES44AC (first screenshot) as well as several locomotives from the Milwaukee Racine & Troy railroad, a fictional model railroad popularized by Model Railroader.

The ES44ACs are the first of their kind to be released as freeware to the public, largely to the credit of Jointed Rail, which allowed WWS to release reskins of the old KCS freeware ES44AC, which has been updated to modern standards and is available as payware. The CN ES44AC, configured by co-founder LCS, closely resembles the mainline ES44ACs between the number ranges 2800-2999 and 3800-3912, which are commonly seen roaming around the Canadian National mainline. LCS' rendition includes a skin changer resembling different weatherings, adding to realism. He also includes a seperate locomotive that resembles Canadian National ES44ACs in the 100th Anniversary campaign scheme, which also includes a skin changer.

LCS collaborated with close friend and original founder MWRR2125 to create a rendition of a prospective CPKC ES44AC in its' new scheme, which was first unveiled in late June 2023.

Both ES44ACs are equipped with kitbashed PTC parts, 3D modeled by Rio, who continues to work on his projects for a future release.

Co-founder and Head Project Manager JX Trainz had read a lot of Model Railroader and Trains Magazine growing up, and a project that was often featured in articles was the fictional Milwaukee Racine & Troy (MRT) railroad. Noticing that there was no accessible quality rendition of the MRT in Trainz, JX decided to create his own SD40-2s and B40-8W, key pieces to the fictional MRT roster. His reskins come in two main schemes, the blue scheme and the white-face scheme. The locomotives also include automatic running numbers so that enjoyers can have a more realistic experience when running a fictional MRT session.

JX also adds some Wig Wag Simulations fan items in the Scenery section, which includes a WWS Fan Shop, flags, and a Model Train Box that serves as a complement to the MRT content he created. The box was originally modeled by Brougham, owner of WWS' close collaborator The Huntington Shops (THS).

Discord and Facebook followers of owner Dwayne's fictional projects will be pleased with his recent release of the SRSX Leaser Pack, which includes 3 SD40-2s and 3 GP38-2s of varying configurations.

Dwayne also adds a hopper pack inspired by common hopper cars from the 1970s and 1980s. It includes hoppers owned by Burlington Northern, Union Pacific, Family Lines System, and more. Also included in the hopper pack is a weathered version of a Union Pacific Trinity hopper, which was contributed by Moose.

NJR5637 announces his arrival to WWS with a release of a GP40 pack for Northeast shortline railroad Maine Central. The locomotives bear variations of the Guilford Rail System paint scheme and lettering, corresponding to Guilford Transportation Industries' ownership of Maine Central, which later became the Pan Am Railroad and was acquired by CSX Transportation in 2022.

LocalWheelingMan releases his FMC 50ft Boxcar pack, which includes boxcars of a variety of railroads and paint schemes, such as the Seattle & North Coast, Central Vermont (now CN), and more.

Meanwhile, Upper Lehigh Railfan and CSX500 continue to provide valuable resources for an improved Trainz experience, from gameplay, session configuration, and content creation standpoints. Upper Lehigh Railfan contributes his first horn pack of 2024, which can be used to swap horns on locomotives and allow for a more realistic experience. CSX500 adds a new sky pack, tracksounds, and crossing bell audio sounds to the Miscellaneous section, which can be used for various different purposes.

The WWS team is excited to bring you this release and upgrade your Trainz gameplay experience. They sincerely hope that you enjoy this release.
